milkadamia Debuts Shelf-Stable Oat Milk Slices at Target


milkadamia’s Oat Milk Slices have entered select Target stores following a direct-to-consumer launch in November 2025. The product marks the brand’s first retail placement for the format.

Each slice is a thin, shelf-stable sheet designed to be blended or shaken with water for approximately 60 seconds to produce oat milk. Users can adjust water ratios and blending time to modify fat perception and viscosity, positioning the product as a customizable, just-add-water dairy alternative.

The format reflects growing interest in concentrated and reconstitut-able beverages that reduce packaging and transportation weight. According to the company, the slices use 84% less packaging and weigh 86% less than traditional liquid oat milk formats. The product also carries an 18-month shelf life without refrigeration and is priced at a suggested retail of $4.79, with the company citing a 20% to 30% lower consumer cost versus comparable packaged oat milk.

For product developers, the format highlights opportunities in dehydration, compression and ambient-stable plant-based systems that address cost, logistics and sustainability pressures while maintaining functional performance in beverages. The product was recently noted in Whole Foods Market’s 2026 trend predictions under “Instant Reimagines,” signaling broader retailer interest in lightweight, mix-on-demand formats.
